PS5 Controller Battery Replacement

The DualSense battery loses capacity over time with charge cycles. These are the clearest signs that it is worn out:

• The controller lasts much less than when it was new, even after a full charge.
• It switches off suddenly with battery apparently left, or halfway through a game.
• It only works when plugged in with the cable.
• The charge indicator drops very fast or gets stuck.

If the controller doesn’t charge at all, the cause may be the charging port rather than the battery: we check it and tell you what the problem is before doing anything; we don’t replace the port on PS5 controllers.

If you send us your controller, you arrange and pay for the shipping both ways yourself, with the carrier of your choice. We accept controllers from any country.

2. We repair it. We replace the battery and confirm the timeframe once we have inspected it.
3. We test it and let you know so you can collect it or arrange its return.

How much does it cost to replace a PS5 controller battery?

From €12 per controller, with the new battery and fitting included, plus 3 months’ repair warranty. If you send it to us, you arrange and pay for the shipping both ways yourself.

How do I know if it’s the battery or the charging port?

If the controller charges but doesn’t last long, it’s usually the battery. If it doesn’t charge at all or only charges when you move the cable, it’s usually the port, which we don’t replace on PS5 controllers. We check it when we receive it and confirm the problem before repairing it.

How long does a battery replacement take?

We confirm the timeframe once we have inspected the controller. If you send it to us, add the shipping time both ways.

What if my controller is still under the manufacturer’s warranty?

Check its terms and conditions before opening it or taking it in for repair.
