DualSense Edge Magnetic Sticks: Goodbye Stick Drift
Is your DualSense Edge moving on its own, or does the camera spin without you touching the stick? We fit TMR magnetic sticks that read the stick position without contact, so they don’t wear down from friction. From €40, with a 3-month repair warranty.
- From €40 per controller, including both magnetic sticks and fitting
- For the DualSense Edge, Sony’s pro controller for PS5
- We test the whole controller before sending it back to you

Why the DualSense Edge gets stick drift too
The DualSense Edge lets you swap the stick modules without opening the controller, but the official modules still measure position with potentiometers: a metal contact that rubs against a track. After many hours of play, that track wears down or gets dirty, the centre reading changes and the controller sends movement even when you are not touching the stick. That is stick drift: your character walks on its own, the camera slowly turns or the cursor jumps around in the menus.
An official replacement module uses the same technology, so the drift comes back with use. Adjusting the deadzone only hides it while it is mild.
The fix: TMR magnetic sticks
The sticks we fit are TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance): they read position with a magnet and a sensor, with no contact. With no rubbing, they do not suffer the wear that causes drift in standard sticks. The DualSense Edge does not come with magnetic sticks from the factory.

How it works
- Check it. Connect the controller to your computer or phone and open the online controller test: in 3 seconds it shows how much your sticks move on their own.
- Bring it or send it. Book an appointment at our workshop in Alcobendas (Madrid), or buy the repair here and send us your controller; in our guide to sending your controller we explain how to pack it.
- We repair it. We fit the magnetic sticks and confirm the timescale once we have inspected it.
- We test it and let you know so you can collect it or arrange its return.

Frequently asked questions
Does the DualSense Edge have magnetic sticks?
No. Its stick modules use potentiometers, like those on the standard DualSense, and can end up with stick drift. That is why we fit TMR magnetic sticks.
How much does it cost to fit magnetic sticks to a DualSense Edge?
From €40 per controller, with the two magnetic sticks and fitting included, plus 3 months’ repair warranty. If you send it to us, you arrange and pay for shipping both ways.
Why not just buy an official replacement module?
Because it uses the same potentiometer technology as the one that has already worn out: it fixes the drift for a while, but it comes back with use.
How long does the repair take?
We confirm the timescale once we have inspected the controller. If you send it to us, add the shipping time both ways.
What if my controller is still under the manufacturer’s warranty?
Check its terms before opening it or taking it for repair.

How we handle reviews
Reviews are written by Tigernicks customers. Those marked “verified owner” correspond to a purchase made on this website with the same email address; the rest come from earlier customers whom we cannot link to an order on the website.
After each delivery we ask buyers for their opinion. We do not pay or give anything in exchange for a review.
